Timing the A35 Note: This engine does not have the stock Cyl or Head but the timing procedure remains the same.
FYI: Line on the flywheel and the line on the block indicate TDC.
FYI: Dial indicator is set up to measure 1mm-2mm BTDC for by the book adjustment.
For the enthusiast: Notch on coil plate should be between two lines at 11 0'clock. If you have no measuring tools place the notch midway between both lines. Experimentation and road tests will confirm the optimum setting for your driving conditions.
Adjust the timing by loosening the two allen screws (1 o'clock and 7 o'clock) in coil plate and turning the plate. |
